Passive house windows have been a popular choice of window in many countries for some time. There are many advantageous properties of tilt and turn windows that explain this success. Typically a quarter turn of the lever will allow the window to swing inwards like a casement window. A second quarter turn will allow the window to tilt inwards from the top.

Flexible Ventilation:

Passive house window offer a great deal of flexibility when it comes to ventilation. You don’t need to have the window fully open to let air into your house, you can open it by tilting. The design also means that when it rains water is prevented from entering your home because of the tilted angle.

Easy Use:

Because passive house windows can swing into the home, it’s really easy to clean both the inside and outside without having to use a ladder for upstairs windows or take the risk of leaning outside your window. They are also easy to open and close as the window opens inwards and not outwards.

Safety and Security:

Passive house window style is particularly suitable for family homes with small children. You’ll still be able to ventilate the house without the danger of children falling out or getting fingers trapped. Also, as these windows can be opened fully they could provide a fire escape in the event of an emergency.

Possible Passive House Window Configurations :

Tilt and Turn window can be designed with fixed window combined.
One panel tilt and turn window opening width should be limited in 1200mm, the window height is better smaller than 1800mm for maximum using experience and durable.
If the tilt and turn window width bigger than 1200, we suggest double panel in tilt and turn or one panel tilt and turn with fixed panel.
